About Me:

Listening to Deep Time

I work across oil painting, photography, metalwork, jewelry, fused glass, and silk, guided by a single thread: an engagement with deep time.

I am drawn to materials that carry age within them—amber formed from ancient forests, jade shaped by hands centuries before mine, stones that have traveled continents before finding their place in a piece. I paint plein air because there is no substitute for actual light on an actual landscape in a moment that will never come again.

My process is a conversation. Whether working in metal, paint, or image, I respond to what is already present—material, structure, and time—rather than imposing form.

Everything I make exists in relationship: between what is seen, what is felt, and what endures.
